| Jerky treats are
thin, bite-size pieces of tender jerky made of 95% real meat and come in
four
varieties; Venison,
Lamb, Fish/Venison,
and Chicken/Venison. Both cats and dogs enjoy these tasty treats!
Canz has discovered that the secret to a
great tasting treat is MEAT, and lots of it! Only natural ingredients
are added to the meat to give these treats a stable and long shelf life.
Real Meat Jerky was formulated to not only taste good, but to also be
healthy and nutritious.
MEAT
Wilderness Foods starts with 95% New
Zealand Natural Farm Raised Lamb, Venison, Chicken or
Fish. Raised on the pristine New Zealand ranges, the meats used in our
treats graze on a natural grass diet. No grains, fillers or artificial
ingredients are used. Our Hoki fish are harvested from the clear,
clean South Pacific waters.
CHICORY
Chicory is used primarily as a humectant,
which enables us to keep the treat supple and soft, by retaining a small
amount of moisture in a very safe and stable way. Chicory has many
health giving properties and acts as a prebiotic in the colon.
LECITHIN
Lecithin is a naturally occurring mixture
of phospholipids. Lecithin is a good source of essential fatty acids,
choline and inositol for animals. Additionally, lecithin aids in
digestion of dietary fats and contributes to higher coat sheen.
Lecithin is also an effective antioxidant which fights rancidity and
prolongs product freshness and shelf life.
SEA SALT
We add only 1% salt, this is to help
stabilize the moisture in the product.
MIXED TOCOPHEROLS
A natural preservative containing vitamin
E. These are naturally occurring tocopherols, rosemary extract, citric
acid, and mono and diglycerides, these act as a powerful antioxidant to
stabilize the fats in the meat.
GARLIC
Also used as a natural preservative and
aids in providing a healthy natural coat for animals. Garlic is also
known to be a powerful deterrent to fleas.
Store at ambient temperature away from
direct sunlight. Once opened, keep in an airtight container or reseal
packaging to protect quality of remaining product.
